Why Am I Fundraising

The Catherine Hamlin Foundation is important to us because it represents hope, dignity, and compassion for women suffering from obstetric fistula in Ethiopia. Dr. Catherine Hamlin, along with her late husband Dr. Reginald Hamlin, dedicated their lives to providing life-changing medical care to women affected by this devastating childbirth injury. Through their work at the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital, they have transformed the lives of thousands of women, restoring their health and giving them a chance to live free from the physical and social burdens of obstetric fistula. By supporting the Catherine Hamlin Foundation, you are contributing to a cause that directly impacts the lives of these women. Your funds help provide essential medical care, surgeries, rehabilitation, and support services to those in need. Additionally, the foundation works on prevention and education initiatives to raise awareness about obstetric fistula and improve maternal health care in Ethiopia. All funds raised for the Catherine Hamlin Foundation go directly towards supporting their programs and activities.
