Why are we fundraising

Every year, thousands of women rely on Hamlin’s Bahir Dar Fistula Hospital and rural Hamlin-supported midwifery clinics for life-changing fistula treatment and essential maternal healthcare. But right now, access to reliable clean water is under threat. At Hamlin's Bahir Dar Fistula Hospital, water shortages are putting safe surgery, infection prevention and patient care at risk. In rural Hamlin-supported midwifery clinics, ageing and failing water systems threaten the safe maternal healthcare women depend on. On Thursday 27 August, every donation to Hamlin’s Raise2Restore Giving Day will be DOUBLED to help upgrade the water supply at Hamlin's Bahir Dar Fistula Hospital and restore reliable water systems at rural Hamlin-supported midwifery clinics. Every gift will help protect clean water, safe healthcare and dignity for women in Ethiopia.
